Hosted by Screw publisher Al Goldstein, Midnight Blue invited mainstream and adult celebrities alike to discuss their lives and lusts with uncensored abandon. The focus on this disc is XXX stars from the '70s and '80s, including Marilyn Chambers, Georgina Spelvin, and Annie Sprinkle, each of whom discuss their sex lives on and off the set in unsparing detail, with Goldstein offering a mix of slobbery compliments and frank questions. Viewers are also treated to footage of stars like Seka and Veri Knotty performing their stage acts (Ms. Knotty's routine is not for the faint-hearted), and Georgina Spelvin recreates her snake dance from The Devil in Miss Jones. Though the interviews and on-location footage (which includes visits to a film set and a trip to the notorious Plato's Retreat in New York) is for the most part smutty, Goldstein does offer the performers a forum to speak frankly about their chosen professions, and even sound off on various grievances.
