This hook (or rack) and accompanying tray are fantastic, instantly transforming my space after installing and hanging up my road bike. A few pointers:1) You do not necessarily need a stud to install the rack. You can hang it on drywall with the right hardware. I used the Toggler brand "Snaptoggle" toggle bolts, able to support about 300lbs in 1/2 in. drywall. These toggle bolts required a half-inch hole to install.
