Lagrange Set 1 (BD) Madoka Kyono is an energetic girl who is full of passion. As the proud, and only, member of the Kamogawa Girls High School Jersey Club, she goes around helping people in need. But Madokas life is turned upside down when she is suddenly asked by a mysterious girl named Lan to pilot a robot. Motivated by her desire to protect the people and city of Kamogawa, Madoka agrees to pilot the resurrected Vox robot to fight against extraterrestrials that have come to attack Earth. Madoka Kyono, the heroine of the 2012 broadcast series Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne (originally Rin-ne no Lagrange, "Flower Declaration of Your Heart"), is the enthusiastic president-and the only member-of the Jersey Club at Kamogawa Girls High School. When aliens threaten her hometown, Madoka discovers she shares a mysterious bond with the "Ovid" mecha suit, and beats the pocky sticks out of the attackers. She also forges instant but sacred bonds of friendship with Lan and Muginami, two girls from other planets. The trio quickly demonstrates extraordinary skills as pilots and warriors. They defeat their ill-defined foes in a series of aerial battles that culminate in an unexplained blizzard of flowers. The Flower of Rin-ne plays like a discordant mash-up of Sailor Moon, Evangelion, and a minor Gundam adventure. Madoka is a goodhearted twit who conflates an alien invasion with a high school tiff. The filmmakers dont seem any more focused than their heroine: the show shifts jarringly from weepy sentimentality to fan service bath scenes to elaborate mecha battles to slapstick pratfalls. Exactly who Madokas fighting and why remains muddled, but she and her friends proved popular enough to generate a sequel.
