I love this scale, I was just going to order a regular food scale, but then I found this and it comes in so handy. I'm able to get the calorie count right then and there for my foods. I love this, it has really helped with my weight loss plan and for portion control in general.
I had one of these scales before and it is a wonderful scale! You don't have to remember 'codes' for your food it will search them for you in the data bank and give you the calories, carbs, etc for your food. You can add favorite foods if they aren't in the bank. Uses standard AA batteries. Can be taken with you if you travel. I broke my earlier one when I spilled food on the keypad and in trying to clean it out (the keys were stuck) water got inside and it wouldn't work anymore.. not the products faul..
I evaluated several different scales, before deciding on this product. I narrowed my search down between this and another manufacturer. The difference between the two was how the food item was entered - by code number, or by food item. After reviewing the list of food items for both, I decided it would be easier to type in the food item, than having to refer to a list to get a code number to enter. Some may prefer the food list and code number versus just typing in the item.The scale works great.
