The emerging Avalon Quartet brings mature artistry to an eclectic pairing. Ravel's Impressionistic light and nuanced colors elicits complex, fluid instrumental demands which the ensemble delivers with aplomb. They tackle Janacek's psychological journey with equal attentivness to his emotional and intrumental range. The Avalon's passion and imagination are deserving of critical acclaim here... I must also extend kudos to Jared Sachs for his Cannel Classics supreme ..
