I just bought this probe as a backup. I've had my Original Cooking Thermometer for a few years and have used it a lot without any problems. But, I thought I'd better pick up one of these just in case.
I've had my thermoworks oven thermometer for over three years and this is my first probe replacement (I got a spare originally but misplaced it). I've always been pretty careful with the probe according to the maker's recommendations. Turns out I think I finally fried the cable in my backyard BBQ. It quit working.
