This is a wonderful dress-up toy for kids to put stuff, sort, use the mirrors to see themselves in their costumes and be able to actually see all the dress-up stuff they have. The only thing is that 1 of the shelf pieces on the back portion (opposite side where the hanging hooks are) did not fit at all to where it was 1" too short to reach the groove where it should have gone into. There is no way to fix it. So, we are just leaving that storage bin off and using it as an open shelf. It's not as useable that..
A year and a half later and the carousel is still going strong. I assembled it alone and found it a breeze. It is very sturdy and has held up to daily use. The pieces for the 'cubbies' have come apart a couple of times, but are easily re-inserted.Its footprint is very small yet it holds so much! Previously we had a chest that took up a lot more room and the girls would end up having to take everything out in order to find a shoe or a piece of jewelry. Guidecraft Dress-Up Pastel CarouselVery nice! Exceptionally durable! The instructions for putting together are a bit off, but once together, there is no way this is coming apart. The girls love it, but the pegs are a bit close together. Suggest purchasing some hangers to go with it. Plenty of room for dress up shoes, wands, tiaras, jewelry and other accessories. Best of all, it doesn't take up a lot of room like the "trunks" that the clothes usually come in.
