This painting was created in the premiere episode of second season of Work of Art: The Next Great Artist. The artist was tasked with elevating a piece of kitsch art into high art. The Artist uses a vibrant color palette and solid line-work to create a sense mischief and bemusement. Caged Bird Sing would be a welcome addition to any home's d cor. Named after Jazz music and Ho Chi Minh, Jazz-Minh spent her formative years on a hippie commune. She received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts and her MFA from California State University, Long Beach. She has received numerous grants and scholarships, including the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. Her work has been shown at the Pulse NYC, as well as Miami, Paris, La, Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. Her work is represented by Lyons Wier Gallery NYC, where she will be showing a solo exhibition titled Is That All There Is in January 2012.
