I recently purchased a SanDisk 480GB SSD for my 2009 iMac while the drive was on sale at Amazon. I installed it using an optical drive bay adapter which leaves me with both the original hard drive and my new SSD. I went ahead and spent the extra $4.00 to get the USB3.0 version for future compatibility. To address part of Andrei's review regarding the hidden clip, it's certainly there - see the pictures for details. Part of the problem is that it's very difficult to release, since the only avenue you have to it it via the bezel itself, and you can really only pry it "wrong."
