The pressure-activated adhesive allows you to slide and reposition the film until you apply firm pressure. The non-visible air release channels assure a fast, easy and virtually bubble-free installation. A 60-inch film width makes it possible to wrap almost any section of a vehicle without creating seams. This material can be used on the interior or exterior of your vehicle. It can cover any smooth surface. It will wrap dash parts, mirrors, trim, or the whole exterior of the vehicle.
While 1080 was designed to automotive use, unlike 3M's Di-Noc, I found that 1080's surface scratched a little too easily. Not sure how durable it is but as far as looks, it looks great. Just be sure to use a felt-covered squeegee or apply it very carefully unless you like scratches on your new finish... DI-NOC I heard is much more durable, though slightly harder to apply.
I am a car guy through and through who enjoys working on cars.. I have used many different vinyls in different applications,and I must say this product excels in every area. Its stretches when you apply heat to it, it has great adhesion,and doe not come un-glued even after 2 years of being installed. I highly recommend any 3M Scotchprint material.
