Splendid ensemble, superb sound, rare late baroque compositions... a must have recording for any lute &/or baroque music afficionado. Schneiderman's deft and masterful execution of these difficult and rarely heard compositions are perfection. Elizabeth Blumenstock's violin is incandescent (on a 1660 Guarneri!). Bill Skeen's impeccable 'cello baseline (and composition for lost score) provide the solid foundation for all. Don't miss this one.
