I'm assuming this is a 5-star handset that synchs up immediately and automatically with Uniden's "Loud & Clear" Dect 6.0 model (EZAi 2997). But after waiting a couple of months for it to arrive from Amazon, I cancelled the order, first verifying with Uniden that their DCX150 handset was compatible with good old "Loud & Clear." I received the DCX150 in 2 days and saved myself thirty bucks (it could be 50-60 dollars if you decided you simply had to have the EZX290 from some dealer other than Amazon).I wish ..
I inserted the battery into this phone after opening the box and reading the instructions. The screen lit up, but the battery was not fully charged. Oddly, the screen said "SEARCHING."
