This tripod provides a stable platform for a camera, spotting scope, binocular, telescope optical tube, also to other optical instruments. The Celestron astromaster includes an accessory tray and is extendable from 24 inches to 41 inches with 2 pole lockable legs. The pan handle controls the up and down altitude. The side-to-side azimuth is controlled by the azimuth lock. The pan handle and the azimuth lock are both loosened by turning the handle and lock counterclockwise.
