The marks are easy to see and this is a great yard stick to use as a straight edge when cutting cardboard, carpet, plastic, you name it with an exacto knife or box cutter.
This yardstick is a great buy. It's flexible aluminum, which allows you to measure over slightly curved areas. Also, because it is constructed out of aluminum you don't have to worry about warping (like wooden yardsticks) or rusting/oxidizing (like steel yardsticks).Another nice feature is that it has no metric on it. Since metric has little use here in America, centimeters just tend to get in the way, and you always have to make sure you're using the right side on US/metric combo yardsticks - but this one ..
