This mailbox is perfect for my use as a drop box in a locked laundry room of a rental duplex--no more checks under the mat or lost snail mail checks. Works great!
The best part of the Gibraltar Industries Townhouse Wall-Mount Mailbox is that you don't need to bother getting your key -- since if your hand is reasonably small you can stick your hand in the slot to pull out the mail.This is a joke. If I hadn't screwed holes in my shingles I would return it.
Very sturdy, nice looking mailbox. So glad we went with this $20 mailbox as opposed to spending big money on another "designer" one. I would not recommend using the lock function just because it is not secure enough. If someone wants to steal your mail you probably have bigger problems and should get a PO box. I used tin snips to cut the lockable lip off the mailbox and it works great.
