We bought a house with a finished basement that had 11 can lights all on the same circuit. There was a mix of bulbs and the lighting was too bright for the room so I converted to all 65W bulbs but it was still over lit. Very hard to find lower wattage incandescent bulbs in the local big box stores but found these on Amazon and they are just right. I believe 45W is as low as they make them but would still like to switch a couple out in front of the TV for dimmer li..
I installed a couple of these bulbs in my basement, but mostly installed GE 15W flourescent bulbs. These are in a zone to provide quick light. The flourescents take about 1 minute to fully brighten. However, I like the light from the flourescents better and they use about 20% of the electricity. These have a slightly yellowish light compared to the flourescents.
