Some of these knobs are not packaged like you are accustomed to seeing them in the home improvement stores, so don't panic when you open the box. But they are the same. It can be a bit difficult to sort through the myriad of part numbers for Schlage knobs, so take your time. I was helped by having a package from an earlier purchase with the part number on it.
The knob is a generally good item. The satin nickel finish is covered by a thick coating of transparent plastic, which gives the knob a warmer but slightly slippery feel. It does not look cheap, and it seems like it would be easier to keep clean than bare brushed metal finishes.
