It isn't so common, however, for that to happen on the same disc. But, overall, there's not that much ordinariness about Arvo Pärt's music. Alina includes two versions of his sparsely beautiful Für Alina, along with three haunting takes on Spiegel im Spiegel. The name of this last track means Mirror in Mirror, which is just what the song sounds like - each instrument reflects what the other is playing and adds its own contribution to the phrase until a complex tune emerges.
