I had the original version of this bag, which served me well for almost 9 years. It had some problems, such as the shoulder strap anchor breaking after 3 years, but overall I liked the design and overall quality. The fabric on this new version feels a little bit thinner, and it does in fact weigh 0.4 pounds less than the old one.
