this is like the first fashioncore pop-screamo album i've ever liked. i didn't even like these guys' ep of last year at all. this album is like the follow-up Finch should have made to their 2002 debut What It Is To Burn. what makes these guys so much better than all their black hair dyed peers; the drummer does a lot of fills, the vocals have a lot of great double tracked harmonies, the overproduction actually seems to work in favor of the dual guitar arrangements, and there's a keyboardist in there somewhe..
In other words, don't judge a book by its cover. Many ignorant people will dismiss this band because their image is considered very "non-masculine" and the vocalist has an exceptionally high pitched *but crystalline clear* voice.I too, almost made this mistake the first time I heard and saw them. This is not a typical throwaway emo/screamo band with post-hardcore beginnings.
