I've owned Voice (An Acoustic Collection) for 3 weeks now. 25 dollars was a little high for me so I bought it new from one of Amazon's resellers for about 13 dollars. Well worth it. I'm a fan of Delerium and own most of their later albums. Every song is a winner, the singing is just fantastic and the words are very clear.

I have been a fan since the very first album of Delerium, "Faces, Forms, and Illusions." I have watched the slow progression of Delerium into Bill Leeb's mainstream success vehicle. However, this album, which I wonder if he touched at all is a piece of crap. One thing that I always cherished about Delerium (until the more current poppier incarnations i.e. anything Poeme to present) is something that came over with Bill from Front Line Assembly (his and Rhys Fulber's Industrial group)which is lush landscapes..

If you're expecting the lush electronica and ethnic flair that Delerium is famous for, you'll be utterly disappointed with this CD, but if you get this album knowing what to expect, it is a suprisingly beautiful listening experience. Is it perfect? Far from it. But these stripped-down, simple renditions of Delerium's most famous tracks seem to really work in their own context.I think one of the biggest complaints that we fellow Delerium fans have is this surge of recycling that Leeb and Fulber have done the..
