Whereas the first Dig Dug takes place underground, Dig Dug II takes place on a tropical island. Your goal is still the same: defeat all the enemies in each level. You have two different means of doing so this time around. You can use your trusty pump to blow them up like in the original, or you can use your drill to split the fault lines on the island, sending enemies into the ocean. Drilling is an effective means of killing more than one enemy at once, but you have to be careful, as you could end up swimming yourself! Gameplay is addicting and the number of levels seems endless, so you will play this game for hours on end!
