The watch features an altimeter with a range up to 9, 000 m / 29, 500 ft and tracks the vertical progress between different stages of a climb. It has an automatic 24-hour memory for storing altitude and ascent/descent rate for every hour and also features an adjustable altitude alarm. Suunto Vector displays current barometric pressure and temperature. It automatically records barometric data for the past four days . With correct reference altitude set the instrument shows the present sea level pressure, making it easy to read the barometric pressure at high altitudes. The digital compass with leveling bubble, provides cardinal directions and has a north-south indicator. It can be set to track a certain bearing to follow a desired direction. Vector also has 12/24-hour time format, three daily alarms, a calendar programmed till 2089, a stopwatch and a countdown timer.
