I should have looked at all the other reviews as well. It doesn't say it in the description and the picture shows caller id (as does the phone when it arrives) but then it has a sticker that says it doesn't support caller id.
This review concerns the lack of usefulness of the remote handset that is paired up with the desk phone. This RCA 4-line desk phone base station looks nice & works well- this one has speakerphone and intercom but doesn't come with caller id or answering machine ( those features are available for a higher price). I like it. But it doesn't come with a headset option, like the 2-line version and the remote handset that is paired with the 4-line desk phone has serious limitations (see next paragraph for detail..
Unbelievable that any phone sold today does not support Caller ID - even more unbelievable that the product information listed on Amazon does not mention this anywhere. Only after your receive the phones and discover this 'defect' will you notice the little red note on the upper right-hand corner of the box: "Does not Support Caller ID". Would be nice if the product description had mentioned this.
