Gerber Impromptu Tactical Pen [31-001880] (Tools & Home Improvement)

I am an RN in a maximum security prison, working in the CSU (Critical Stabilization Unit) where the most mentally unstable inmates are cared for. Most of the time they are handcuffed when we have to come into contact with them but sometimes they are not, and it is always going through your mind “What if he…?” Having this pen in my pocket gives me a lot of peace of mind now, knowing I have something that would give me a distinct advantage if the worse case scenario occurs. This pen is beautifully engineered, hefty (I weighed it myself since every weight you see published about it is incorrect); it weighs in at 2.25 oz (64 Grams), and it writes great! I am extremely pleased with all aspects of this pen; its rugged good looks, its heft in my hand, its writing smoothness and its potential to get its owner out of a jam should one arise.
