I was surprised at the brevity of this book, and large print seemingly to fill space? I did however climb right in and read it in one sitting easily. The stories were enlightning as I did not consider some of the particular instances in survival.
This book was amazing. It was filled with different short stories by different jewish children and teens during world war 2. It's filled with their honest, terrifying, sad stories. Each person had a different experience and each one is enough to make you want to cry. This was one of the first Holocaust books I've read and now that I've read more I've realized how special this book really is. This one really stands out. A friend recommended it to me, I never would have even heard of it before since it doesn't..
