The Spectrum Antenna by itself could not hold various stations without losing signal. After I added a Motorola amplifier in the antenna path the antenna is now working fine and holds the channels I want (mostly prime channels and a public broadcasting channel).In all fairness with the length of cable supplied with antenna I could not get it near the window where I do get the best reception so that may have been part of the initial problem; should supply a longer antenna cable with antenna. First I was reluctant to buy this antenna because my cable tv was awesome.But once i got this, i found out i didnt have to pay cable tv no more.Most of the channels i watch are provided by this antenna. I do not need to pay$70 a month no more for cable tv. I suggest other buyers to checkantennaweb.org before purchasing this product. I was using an indoor flat antenna with amplifier and getting some poor results; pixellating, buzzing, and dropouts. This item seems to send a more coherent signal to the little broadband amplifier, and the result is a certain degree better. I now find that I need to move it around less, and seem to watch more uninterruptedly. Great!
