A new oil mixture, improved thermal filler properties and increased particle deagglomeration, dispersal and density enhance Céramique 2's thermal performance and overall stability. Céramique 2 is engineered to not separate, run, migrate, or bleed. Céramique 2 does not contain any metal or other electrically conductive materials. It is a pure electrical insulator, neither electrically conductive nor capacitive. 2 to 10 degrees centigrade lower CPU full load core temperatures than standard thermal compounds or thermal pads when measured with a calibrated thermal diode imbedded in the CPU core. Céramique 2 can easily be cleaned from CPUs and heatsinks with ArctiClean, isopropyl alcohol or any of the cleaners listed in the product instructions. Céramique is the leading grease like thermal compound used in high end CPU over clocking situations and we are offering it for your LED build. LEDs get hot, Céramique keeps them cool. Since Céramique is grease like, you will need screws to hold your LEDs to the heatsink. Tri-Linear Ceramic Content: Like the original Céramique, Céramique 2 uses only ceramic fillers so it is neither electrically conductive nor capacitive. The tri-linear composite of aluminum oxide, zinc oxide and boron nitride allows the thinnest possible bond line with modern processors, heatsinks and electronics. Critically-sized particles and new ultra-high shear mixing techniques maximize Céramique 2's thermal performance and help maintain a stable homogenous suspension. This exclusive combination provides performance exceeding most metal based compounds. Coverage 25-gram syringe. (Approximately 9.2cc) At a layer 0.003" thick, one syringe will cover about 200 square inches (or 200 20mm star LEDs).
I've used Arctic Silver Ceramique for years because it offered an excellent combination of performance and value. I've never really had any complaints with Ceramique so I was pleasantly surprised that Arctic Silver updated it. In terms of performance, Ceramique 2 seems to be a bit better than the original, though it's still behind the top silver-based thermal interface materials. Absolute thermal performance is not the whole story, however, and where Ceramique real..
When i saw this deal i couldnt believe my eyes. For only 10 bucks you get 25Grams of Ceramique 2. A thermal compound proven to be on the same bar and above that of Arctic Silver 5 which i have used for nearly 8 years now. When my CMQ2 arrived i removed every heatsink on my motherboard; southbridge, northbridge, CPU heatsink, and even repasted my 8800GT. After all that the tube is still so full haha. I immediately saw 3 to 4C temperature drops. After the break in period(25 hour..
This is my thermal paste of choice for just about any job. It perfoms as well as the company's long-standing flagship Arctic Silver 5, with the added benefit of not being electrically conductive. There are better thermal pastes out there, but you're paying several times the cost for a few tenths of a degree performance. The Ceramique 2 is cheap, available in a large-size tube, easy to apply and clean up, isn't electrically conductive, and performs well. What more do..
