No more dirty; slippery garage floors! The Park Smart Garage Floor Mat catches every drop of mud; slush and grime that falls off your vehicle. This helpful auto mat keeps your garage floor clean; eliminating the problem of tracking dirt and muddy footprints into your home. Protects garage surfaces from auto fluid leaks such as oil and antifreeze drips; too. The Park Smart also keeps your garage and home safe by helping to prevent slips and falls (may become slippery when wet). The heavy-duty 20-mil vinyl; in conjunction with the raised plastic edges; holds gallons of liquid from spreading onto the garage floor. The specially engineered Snap-On edges are extremely durable. Assembly is required; no tools are necessary. Park Smart comes complete with 24" long Snap-On side pieces and 18" long Snap-On end pieces. This garage mat is so durable; it comes with a 1-year limited warranty. (Note: It is not advisable to turn car wheels while parked on mat. Garage mat works best when car is driven head on; or directly forward onto mat as opposed to entering at an angle).
It got us through the winter, which is what I intended for it to do untilit warmed up enough that I could do the necessary work to get the garageto drain into a sump. But, by spring it was pretty much junk. Sand fromwinter street sanding and other things the car tracks in on the tires madelittle holes all over in the plastic film. It was stained and ugly and doesn'tcome clean no matter how much you scrub with soap and water. It left earlyin the Spring... on the garbage truck.
They are ok, but they slip and wrinkle too much. They need a sturdier frame and thicker material. The people were very nice when we called for double edge tape to hold the mats in place, but then the tape could have been included in the first place. However, we are glad we got them. A mixed review.
We bought two of these roughly three years ago. They hold a lot of melted snow, that can be sucked up with a wet vac, and are a great way to keep the garage floor (and items on the floor!) dry through the winter. However, the plastic edge at the front (where we drive on to the mat) cracked on both this year. I don't know if the cracks happened because the plastic weekend after three years of use, or because we changed vehicles - up until this year, we had a Passat on one and a Corolla on the other, we moved..
