I have track light fixtures purchased from Home Depot (Hampton Bay 1-Light White Mini-Slot Back Track Lighting Fixture EC2230WH) that use a GU10-11 halogen bulb and thought I'd give these a try, but unfortunately the LED will not fit. It flares out too close to the base to clear the fixture's housing, so the pins can't reach the sockets. As an LED aficionado from WAY back, I was anxious to try this in my 35W halogen-lamped ceiling fan. In May, I bought a Feit brand 4-Watt LED lamp locally, to replace the next halogen lamp to burn out, and did so in July. The 4-Watt lamp was a reasonable replacement for the halogen lamp. The color was very similar, but slightly whiter, and the brightness was about the same, so we were satisfied with it.Because the halogen bulbs burn out with distressing regularity, I decided to prepare to..
