I bought these to put into my blackhawk pants and they fit perfect. You need to roll them some to get them into the pocket, but once in they fit like they were made specifically for them. I do wish they were a hard plastic on the outward facing side but if they were they would have a hard time fitting into the pants. But I am really glad I bought these and I might buy a second pair.
These pads are better than the standard 1/8" neoprene inserts on the market, but not by much. They're still pretty thin, and don't dissipate impact as much as kneepads with a plastic or rubber cap. They're fairly small too, so they'll only stay in place over the knee on tactical pants that have a small pocket. On pants with a longer pocket, like the TRU-Spec TRU pants or Crye field pants, without additional Velcro sewn on they'll just slide down to your shins.
