I much prefer the bumkins liners to these. The material of gCloth liners is a lot rougher, and the liners aren't as wide so they don't cover as much of the diaper. I found the bumkins liners to be much better at containing the mess, and won't buy these again. With bumkins I could reuse the shell (I use flip diapers shells and inserts) because bumkins would protect the edges of the shell, but the gCloth liners are narrower so the shell always gets dirty and I can never re-use it.
We were given these before our baby was born, since we planned on using gDiapers (have since switched to FuzziBunz). We still used the gCloth liners with the FuzziBunz once we started solids. I am not sure what that review was talking about that said these are not rough... You. I believe the opposite is true; these have some seriously rough texture. I didn't even want to use them with our baby, but like I said, we had 2 boxes that were already given to us so I decided to use them up. ..
