Meets or exceeds ANSI standards. The Stanley 10-Inch Groove Joint Pliers feature long-tempered jaws for working in hard-to-reach areas and forged-steel construction for durability. A rust-resistant finish protects the pliers from the elements and keeps them looking fresh after a hard day's work. The jaws are machined to give you a slip-resistant grip, and the tool's double-dipped handle gives extra comfort. For extra durability, the pliers feature hardened cutting edges, and chrome-nickel steel gives them an extra-tough cutting edge. These 10-inch pliers meet or exceed ANSI standards.    OK tool, although in hindsight I would have chosen a chromed tool instead. I worry about rusting on this uncoated tool. The description on line could have been more detailed. The picture on line seems to show a chrome tool. It is not, but is machined steel apparently uncoated. I have many great Proto tools, which Stanley has apparently taken over. Too bad - Proto was great.
