We use this in the house to call the family down for dinner, to do homework, etc. It is plenty loud in a house, and is better than screaming at the top of our lungs. (I know--get an intercom...). It probably isn't loud enough for outdoor use or in a loud environment, but is perfect in our house, and is nice and small and light too.
Purchased this for my elderly parents. Dad is hard of hearing and cannot hear mom over the TV. It works wonderfully and is small enough to not be cumbersome. Mom is thrilled that she doesn't have to yell and still get no response. This amplifies her voice when when she talks at a normal level and has been a great help to both of them. Their home health care nurse and several friends have requested a link to purchase one for their patients and loved ones.
I'm disabled from MS and need help from my husband getting out of bed in the morning. He usually gets up before me and is in another part of the house or out in the garage which is attached. Sometimes he will be outside on the patio which is just outside of our bedroom.
