I bought this product for my daughter and had been holding off on giving it to her because I didn't know enough about the safety of FAO Schwartz products. I am SO GLAD I didn't just pull open the box and give it to her. Tucked away on the bottom, in small type on a little sticker, it says "WARNING: CONTAINS LEAD. MAY BE HARMFUL IF EATEN OR CHEWED. I purchased this drum set for my toddler and when I went to wrap it I noticed a label on the bottom of the box stating that it may contain lead and could create lead dust. It is made in China. I saw this at Toy's R Us and thought it was a really beautiful toy, but I hesitated to buy it because it was $50. Lo and behold, my husband's mom got it for our son for Christmas.
