I bought this as a drain board (the surface is too hard to serve as a cutting board).While I loved the elegant look (it does look beautiful, alas!), I was extremely disappointed to discover that our dish rack cannot stand on it. I thought I miscalculated our dish-rack dimensions, but a measuring tape revealed that the promised 15"x20" (written on the package!) are far from reality. First, the sides of this board are folded, which takes away more than 1". Length-wise, the usable surface area is less than 18...
I just received it this morning and I was so disappointed that I had to jump on Amazon right away. The dimensions on this item are listed as 2.25"H x 15"W x 20"D. The usable length of this is not 20" but actually 18.75. I have the metal Ikea KVOT dish rack that is 18 7/8" long and it cannot stand over this dish rack. I am making my 3rd purchase of this drainboard--it's the BEST drainboard made!It keeps my counter dry, I can use it to cut fruits and veggies, but DO NOT EVER put a hot pot on a plastic drainboard as it will break it. It is made to be a great Drainboard, and you can cut on it, but it is made of plastic and cannot handle hot metal pots.I've looked every where for something better, but once I found this, it is a keeper.
