but that doesn't mean it doesn't have problems. It has a *really* loud squeal when you unwind or rewind hose. Because the pivot has no lock, it wants to flop around when you're winding. And there's no hose guide, so if your hose isn't lined up with reel when you're rewinding, it's not gonna want to wind onto reel. But at least it's not plastic!
I love this hose reel. I read reviews by others that were somewhat negative before I made my purchase. Absolutely rediculous. Overall, I was pleased with the quality and design of this hose reel. I would have preferred more flexibility in the mounting as the mounting pattern is narrow and fixed, requiring your wall studs to match the dimensions of the reel (mine didn't of course, so I had to improvise).
