have a half-bath with no ventilation ducting, it had a vent/fan in there but no-duct?! Thanks previous home owners for that one. I ordered this duct-free option, it works great so far, easy to install - doesn't clear the air (if you know what i'm sayin) but we only wanted it to cover-up the #1 sound that echos from that room!
We moved in a condo convert in Woodland Hills and sadly it is not upto code. It was grandfathered in so as long as the developer didn't touch the bathroom structure, they didn't have to be up to code in today's standard - which is to install a vented fan. Sadly this is what we have to work with. Our old ventless fan was noisy and it rattled sometimes. When I went to clean the filter (probably over 20 years old, it basically started to disintegrate! We didn't have a choice to replace since it was no lo..
It replaced an old, noisy wall fan in my half-bath while I was renovating it. It was very easy to install and the fan is extremely quiet. I also ordered 10 replacement filters from the manufacturer (didn't find them in the Amazon stock) so I can be prepared for the future.FYI, this is not a fan you want to use in a high humidity area such as a shower. If you don't need to vent outside your home, then this is the product for you.
