As ECOGAL stated the charger is poorly designed and will eventually break. The back piece has two wide flat plastic areas that act as a "spring" clip of sorts that holds the dog collar in the charging stand for recharging.Tri-Tronics Customer Service was NOT helpful - they said "they do not service the charger units or provide parts," they then tried to sell us a new charger, but then they told us they could not ship the new charger to our state due to new p..

The Tritronics collars themselves are great-- rugged, reliable and easy to use. The same cannot be said, however, of the G3 charging cradle into which you snap the collars to keep them charged. Unfortunately, the cradle relies on two thin pieces of plastic to act as a kind of spring to snap and hold the collar receivers into place while they are charging . This works great for charging both the dog collars at the same time. I read reviews that complained about the plastic breaking but I have been using these daily for almost 2 years and haven't had any problems at all... And that includes both the teenagers clipping and unclipping them. I think it takes just a second to think about how the collar is held to understand how best to release it without putting stress on the plastic...
