This Simulation for Records Management provides realistic activities for filing and retrieval of both paper and electronic records in a business environment and is also compatible with ARMA (Association of Records Managers and Administrators, Inc.) guidelines
It is appropriate for records management courses covering filing and management of the records system. This simulation is a comprehensive compilation of projects including: Jobs 1-4 cover alphabetic rules using index cards (total of 54 cards). Jobs 5-7 cover correspondence using letters, memos, invoices, etc. Jobs 8 and 9 cover requisition, charge out, and transfer procedures. Jobs 1--13 cover subject correspondence, numeric, terminal digit numeric, and geographic filing (using correspondence). Students set up guides, folders, cross reference sheets. Microsoft Access is integrated into a separate activity within each "job".
