This is a well-made product, with solid brass fittings and ball valves (it is heavy!) Theoretically, it is easy to hook up. You unhook your washing machine hoses, connect the Tropic Shower, and hook your washing machine hoses onto the Tropic Shower. You then control whether you want water to go to your washer or out to a hose (which connects to the Tropic Shower) using a ball valve. You also control the amount of hot water coming from the hot water tap using another ball valve. The challenge (if you have an older home) is getting those darned washing machine hoses off of your faucets to begin with, and making sure everything is hooked up with no leakage (make sure you turn off water to the house and water to the hot water heater before you start!) Teflon tape may be your best friend. We highly recommend you use teflon tape even if you have a newer home where the threads on your faucets are in better shape. Also, make sure that the valve is turned to the "off" position (water...Read more

I have 3 Irish Wolfhounds. My 160-lb girl-dog doesn't mind the shower, but she likes to lay down in there, which makes a thorough washing impossible! The two boy-dogs refuse to get in to the shower without a struggle. To wash all three dogs used to take two hours, including the extensive cleaning of the bathroom afterwards. So I went in search of a better way and I found it! Now I just affix their leash to the hitch of the truck and wash them with the Tropic Shower in the driveway. The temperature is consistent and I was surprised at how effective the spray nozzle is. It does a much better job than my shower, and I can wash all three and clean up in 20 minutes. Yes. Twenty minutes. If you have big dogs, you NEED this.

We recently added the tropic shower to our booster bath. I had read reviews stating that it leaked, fell apart, was difficult to install etc. We had zero trouble with the install, and it works beautifully! No leaks, keeps the water temperature perfect, and instantly fits to the hose for a warm bath. I can just pull out my booster bath, screw in the hose connector, and wash the dogs (and cats) with comfortable, warm water! They enjoy it (really!) and I find it so much easier than washing them in the shower. Plus the waste-water irrigates the yard, so we feel even better about bathing our pets outside! I've only had it a couple of months and already used it a dozen times (for my pets and other family members' pets) and everybody loves it!
