That being said, I would like to let it be known that the company has pulled a "Bait and Switch" on its customers. Our regular tap water registers about 140 on the ZeroWater meter, and the first few ZeroWater replacement filters we bought, were cylindrical in shape. Those filters gave us about 45 gallons before needing to be replaced. That was good for us, to last through almost 1 month of everyday use. Now we bought the "new and improved", bullet shaped filters, and they only last for about 30 gallons (about 2 1/2 weeks), or 33% less drinkable filtered water (registering under 6 on the ZW meter) than the original cylinder shaped filters, FOR THE SAME PRICE. Since then I have gone through numerous replacement units and I have had the same result every single time. The activated carbon granules keep leaking into the top receptacle along with other granules and the water just stink and tastes rancid. This happens variably within few weeks of replacing the filter so I think I'm done with this unit..
