I solved this with one of them by using a heat gun to remove the paint. They're not inexpensive--for the price of these mugs, this is an inexcusable defect. | Author: Flashoflight (Ohio) | I have two of these. They work well BUT - the lid mechanism failed after two months of use on one of them. Called Thermos for warranty and they were happy to SELL me a new lid. On their website under "What Matters to Us" it says: "At thermos we carefully choose the best available materials, and produce products with consistent quality and reliable performance. We ensure the excellence of our products by testing for quality throughout the entire manufacturing process, and we stand behind them 100%."I read that to the girl I spoke with at Thermos and she said that doesn't include the lid, even if the cup is only two months old. Nice.DEAR THERMOS,Please live up to your motto - "We stand behind (our products)... 100%" | 10 |
