First, this unit is large, but not overly so. I worried that a 7" unit would be to big for my dash. No problem, it mounts easily and does not look out of place. The large screen is a welcome feature.
The interface is Garmin, which I am familiar with so no problem updating this unit or operating it. I've used this brand exclusively as I started with Garmin and saw no reason to switch.
Compared to the previous 4" unit, I was concerned that the suction cup mounting system would not hold this steady. In actuality this unit weighs noticeably more than the 4" one it replaced, but fits the same stem and does not move at all.
Power is through a USB 5v 2.5amp = 10w or through a cigarette lighter plug in cord.
