I bought this product as a gift for a friend after having used the very same product for many years. I like the fact that it is easy to carry with me and comes with a nice case. I have had no problems with my magnifier, and would not hesitate to recommend it. I can forsee a time when I may need stronger magnification, but for the time being this one serves my needs well. If and when that time comes, I would definitely seek out another Bausch&Lomb, because I appreciate the quality.

It should last for many years. The fold-away handle is a wonderful feature. The only problem for me is that it's hard to determine what strength is best for me without trying it out before buying it. I took a chance on the 2X on this. I really need a stronger magnification but couldn't really know that until I received it and used it. You will have the best luck ordering a magnifier if you know for sure what strength you need. Without this knowledge, you are taking a chance on getting one you won't be happy with.
