 | Author: David B. Minter (Kentuck.. | The Disc ID on these discs is VERBAT-IMe-000. That means Verbatim themselves actually made these discs. They did NOT farm these out to CMC, the worst optical media manufacturer. Verbatim often farms out to CMC. Their CD-R's, their Life series DVD-R and DVD R, and their BD-RE are CMC. CMC DVD recordable media fail to burn 50% of the time. Of those that do burn, they fail about 50% of the time to pass a verify of burnt data. Of those that do verify, 50% of them are not recognized as playable in a stand alone player. The DID on these discs is the same as in the 10 packs and in the 25 packs. I've been using those for almost 3 years now and I've yet to have one that failed to burn or failed to verify. | 38 |
 | Author: Print & Film Fan | I have burned hundreds of BD-R's and have always sworn by Verbatim. When burning these I had a 99% success rate. I always test them after burning and they've always been flawless. Then I started having read errors with discs that I burned a year or so ago. Discs that played fine, before. I started testing others that were a year or more old. Disc after disc (dozens) refused to even boot up. This was on a computer along with 3 different blu-ray players. Bottom line, don't store anything on these that you're not willing to lose. | 48 |
