I can't stress enough to my audiophile friends how awesome these are. I picked these up with the sole purpose of having a pair of headphones for running and lifting weights, but wound up using these as my primary headphones. They are simply amazing! The highs of smooth jazz and classical sing through while the bass of hip hop or techno will literally rattle your skull. And that's not the end of it! I'm an audiophile who focuses on the sound quality of movies and these, hands down, won me over in terms of move clarity and bass reflex. The mids get lost so if you've got heavy action and people are talking, you may notice some interference but that's only if you're REALLY paying attention and it's nothing that takes away from the experience.
