Save the PEPPERS !, March 8, 2010

This not only works for peppers, but works for large apples as well. It stands out in the refrigerator to remind you that you've already cut an apple/pepper. Even if your refrigerator is packed full of leftovers, take a quick look where you store this container when it's empty, and if it's missing, you know it's in the refrigerator somewhere. It's also truly safe for the dishwasher's top rack. I had previously purchased a tomato saver unlike this design and it was not dishwasher safe as advertised. This design works well and cleans easily.

I bought and reviewed several of these products because I'm jazzed. This is one of those brilliant ideas that everyone needs but large manufacturers can't make enough money with it to waste time selling. Thank you to the person who did. I wish I'd had this years ago. But I do now so Woo Hoo for my Pepper Saver!! Give one to the person who has everything. I'll bet they don't have one of these!!

There is something to be said for the ability to look in the fridge and know immediately what is in the container. Even in a glass container I have to pick it up to see what it is. I got the tomato and onion ones from a different company first (jo!e) and knew I wanted the bell pepper as well. Now I have one for all the vegetables I use everyday and it makes my life just one tiny bit easier.I love bell peppers but if I ate a whole pepper everyday I would have really bad indigestion. If you eat bell peppers then you know once they are cut they will wilt pretty fast. There is only a day or two before they are unappealing. This keeper does nothing to prolong a pepper it just keeps it clean and makes it very easy to find in the fridge which I think is just perfect.
