Features Size: 14.8 oz Diet Dr Pete Flavor Contains less sugar than store bought drinks No high-fructose corn syrup or aspartame Each bottle makes 29 servings (7 liters) Pack of 4 Specifications Dimension: 8.25" H x 6" W x 6" L Weight: 4.6 lbs
1.0 out of 5 stars
This is a bad deal compared to the original Sodastream Dr. Pete.
1. They reduced the volume of the bottles from 16.9 ounces of syrup to 14.8
2. They diluted the syrup so that now it takes 3 tsps rather than the 2 tsps for an 8oz serving
3. They increased the calories from 35 to 50 per 8 oz serving
4. The original bottles of Dr. Pete syrup made 50 servings the new and degraded Dr. Pete only makes 29 servings
So now the actual cost of making a liter of soda exceeds that of just buying a 2 liter bottle.

Update: Not sure how this gets four stars on Amazon's website. This is still just as awful a deal as it was before. Do the math andd you'll find that this costs twice as much as the old syrup. It's now cheaper to just buy cans and bottles again.I tried these "new and improved" bottles of sodastream syrup about a week ago. I didn't think much of it at the time, but when I bought it it was $1 more than the old bottles. All well, not a big deal if the new syrup is actually improved! Spoiler alert.... It's not.'''''The first thing I noticed about the new syrup is the bottle's cap. With the old bottles of syrup you poured the syrup into its cap up to the fill line, and then you poured that into the 1 liter bottle of carbonated water. The new bottle works just like the old bottle, but now there are three fill lines; .5L, Lightly Sweetened, and Sweet. Nothing wrong with that right!... right? Well, I only have 1 liter bottles, so the .5L fill line...Read more

They ruined a good product due to their greed. I've been a loyal SodaStream customer for several years. Over the years there were slight changes to the diet cola and other flavors and they've always been improvements. Now, SodaStream reformulated the syrup to boost their profits at the expense of their customers. Here's What's New:1. The flavor has changed and not for the better. It has a strange flavor that I can't quite describe. Granted, I've never expected SodaStream's diet flavors to be as good as the major soda players, but come on, this is awful. It tastes like something you'd get at a dollar store. I always appreciate SodaStream not using aspartame as a sweetener and fortunately they still don't. However, now Diet Pepsi is aspartame free, so there's no advantage there anymore.2. You now need a significant greater amount of syrup to carbonate a one liter volume of water. It's incredibly insulting to loyal SodaStream users to charge...Read more
