LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra eBook Adventure Builder: Pet Pals: Dog Show Detectives (works with all LeapPad tablets) (Toy)

LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra eBook Adventure Builder: Pet Pals: Dog Show Detectives (works with all LeapPad tablets) LeapFrog LeapPad Ultra eBook Adventure Builder: Pet Pals: Dog Show Detectives (works with all LeapPad tablets) available on June 05 2016 from Amazon for 4.56
2.0 out of 5 stars
We received the Pet Pals Ultra eBook cartridge as a gift for our newly four year old to play in her LeapPad 2. The story starts out fine with the standard LeapPad navigation convention of swiping the page or tapping an arrow to progress through the story. The problem we have found is that whenever the story gets to the mini-game transition, the story mode closes and the user is kicked back to the LeapPad home screen. This occurs whether or not we press the arrow to continue, swipe the screen, tap around the main story screen, tap within the story screen, or do nothing at all. I have tried to bypass this by selecting a different part of the story from the storyboard selection screens. But this only works until the story moves forward and gets to the next mini-game. Then the same issue occurs. I also tried selecting the mini-games directly. That also kicks me back to the LeapPad home screen. The book seems like it could have been fun if it worked. But I guess we'll never know.
